New PArtners

RESPEC acquires Albertson Engineering, expanding structural expertise across the Northern Plains and Mountain West.

RESPEC has acquired Albertson Engineering Inc. (AEI), a structural engineering firm with roots across South Dakota and Wyoming. The move brings together two organizations that have often worked in parallel—each deeply tied to their region, focused on practical engineering, and shaped by a people-first culture.

Founded in 1999, AEI has spent the last 25 years quietly shaping the built environment of the Great Plains. Their work spans civic buildings, public art, commercial spaces, and industrial facilities, many of which stand as community landmarks across the Black Hills and beyond.
